In the heart of old Massalia, la Canebière, le Panier and the Vieux-Port are sites you simply cannot miss! La Canebière is an avenue that runs 1 km from the Vieux-Port to the Reformed church. Magnificent 19th century buildings grace this broad artery on which the palais de la Bourse was erected. Between the quartier du Panier and the Vieux-Port you can admire the palais de justice and the Maison Diamantée, which is a listed historical monument. The Hôtel-Dieu and the hôtel de Cabre are also splendid witnesses of Middle Age and Renaissance architecture. The Vieux-Port is undeniably the most emblematic area of Marseilles. At the far end is Saint-Jean fort, where the MuCEM is housed - the museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations.
