The Roundhouse was at the heart of the British rock 'n 'roll explosion in the 60's with Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones wowing audiences. It was also at the forefront of British Punk with The Clash, The Ramones and Patti Smith all performing legendary gigs at The Roundhouse. Widely recognised as one of the best places to experience live music and performance in the UK, the space is also home to some of the most important festivals in the music calendar, such as the Apple Music Festival, and has established itself as the leading alternative venue in London

Through our award winning artistic programme, the Roundhouse has grown to be a major cultural destination for live music, circus, theatre, spoken word, installations and new media, staging 500 performances per year and reaching an audience of half a million visitors.

Inspiring the Next Generation

The Roundhouse is a registered charity and works with over 3,000 11-25 year olds every year, supporting them to reach their full potential through creativity by running impactful outreach projects in music, broadcast and new media and the performing arts,. The Roundhouse is one of the leading creative incubator spaces in the UK, home to 24 high spec studio spaces providing much needed access to facilities and technology for young resident artists.
