The Angel Protector of Niki de Saint Phalle is worth seeing in the lobby of the central station. From there, walk up Bahnhofstrasse, an avenue lined with luxury shops that leads to Lake Zürich. A stop off at the Sprüngli confectionery is a must-do, in order to taste the iconic macaroons called "Luxemburgerli".
This former industrial area, nestled between the station and the Limmat River, now attracts a cosmopolitan population. For lovers of art and design, the myriad of design and fashion boutiques as well as art galleries in the district will enchant. Organic restaurants and alternative bars will seduce you. Finally, venture to the Prime Tower - a fascinating glass tower with an outstanding scenic view of the city from the top.
